Market potential to be unleashed

Building Solar China (Guangzhou) Exhibition is the one-stop platform showcasing the latest technology developments and market trends for integrated solar building solutions.

In the “12th Five-Year Plan on Solar Power Development”, China’s National Energy Administration (NEA) set the objective to reach a total of 10’000 MW installed capacity of distributed photovoltaic generation by 2015 in Eastern and Central China. Vigorous promotion of distributed solar photovoltaic power generation and creating new energy model cities are two of the main tasks provided by the plan. (Source: china-briefing.com)

In the current project pipeline of photovoltaic installations in China, building-mount projects only account for about 10% of total capacity. With system prices continuing to decrease, PV generated electricity will become economical for self-consumption by industrial and commercial users. This will stimulate building-mount project development by the corporate sector in China significantly.
