There are more than 140 estates transactions actively in Tawau, Sandakan & Lahad Datu.

Sawit Palm Oil Industrial Cluster (SAWIT POIC) - Rated South East Asia's Most Exciting Palm Oil Industrial Cluster
Sawit POIC, located in Sandakan, presents a two phased development over the next 10 years, offering state of the art infrastructure and facilities for palm oil related downstream activities. Once completed, this development will transform the economic environment within BIMP-EAGE and the South East Asia region. A project fully supported by the State Government of Sabah, this palm oil industrial cluster will develop to be one of the most strategic integrated industrial parks in South East Asia.

Lahad Datu Palm Oil Industrial Cluster (POIC)
The Lahad Datu Palm Oil Industrial Cluster (POIC Lahad Datu) identified as the first dedicated industrial cluster of its kind in Malaysia. The development is strategically located in the oil palm belt of Sabah due to its natural deep water harbor (20 meter draft) which is able to cater to vessels of up to 1000, 000 dwt. Its proximity to major oil palm plantations in neighbouring Indonesia's Kalimantan provinces (Malaysia and Indonesia combine to produce 80% of the global palm oil output) and lauric oil production areas in the Southern Philippines makes it an international local point for vegetable oil-based industries. To-date, 1,100 acres have been fully developed with infrastructure, including an oil jetty complete with pipe racks to service oil based establishments, and a dry bulk jetty which is due to be completed by mid-2012.

The facilities presently in operation include fertilizer factories, refineries, logistics / warehousing and biomass processing. At least eight (8) plants are under construction and several are planning to commence construction before year end. The Federal Government's recent announcement to develop a container port at POIC Lahad Datu provides an additional incentive for investors to position their business operations in this fast growing part of the State.

The Palm Oil Plantation in Malaysia
Measurements stated as one of the process for planting in order to prevent the soil degradation. In addition, contour terracing is carried along steep slopes on the hilly land. While trapping soil and plant nutrients, silt pits help to decrease the length of the slope. The prunes fronds are located around the slope will help to minimize the erosion of the soil as well as the loss of the fertilizer. Therefore, there are more than 250 estates at the hilly forest areas with deep slopes are left empty.

In fact, the society of palm oil Malaysia find it a challenge to expand the oil palm areas in Malaysia as there are lack of suitable land and experienced planters and the difficulty of hiring plantation labor. There is an option for the Malaysia oil palm planters to arise their production is to expand their production to Indonesia where there are wide range of land and labor availabl
